The heraldry of Amber is not well developed. With only the Royal Family, and a few dozen houses Oberon saw no need to formalize any system of identification. Each Prince or Princess and each house has thier own badge.

Basic rules

No serpents or demons are allowed.
Only the king is allowed to use the unicorn, or its parts (including the horse).
Charges should be simple, a single creature or item or that same one replicated in a pattern.
Charges should fill the entire circle like a Japanesse Mon.

Generally badges are a creature, item or geometric design which fits entirly inside a disk of 3 or fewer colors but which can also be recognized if reproduced in monochrome. Charges should touch the outer border if possible. There are no marks of cadency, no rules for transmittal to heirs (it is assumed a badge belongs to a whole family). Colors include the standard heraldic colors and metals as well as orange, brown, purple, grey and pink. The rule for no colors on colors and no metals on metals seem not to apply.
