The Pattern locks the form of those who walk it into a human shape, the form held by Dworkin when he inscribed the Pattern. This human shape is more resistant to environmental effects than most Static Form humans. With time an however such characters can learn to manipulate the Pattern of thier body allowing Shape Shifting. Characters start with 1 Form, a human. As they progress they can learn more.
Shape Shifting is more difficult the closer to the Pattern one is. Characters with only Basic Shape Shifting can not change their form in any shadow with a Pattern, in Arden or in the Golden Circle Shadows. They are locked into the form they are in when they enter the shadow and in those shadows with Patterns they revert to human form. Creatures with Advanced powers can shape shift in the Golden Circle and Arden, they remain locked in shadows with Patterns. Creatures with Exalted level can change anywhere.
Shape shifting does not change one's cloths, only the body. Children of Amberites are always born in human form. If the mothers form precludes this then the fetus dies long before birth.
This is a dangerous power. It is easy to "lose" oneself to the form assumed. Or for the Shape Shifter to break himself and become stuck in a form.

Single Form
Prerequisite: Basic Pattern Imprint (Full) or Alter Shadow Rules
The ability to change into 1 other form. Choose a single form that fits within one of the categories listed under Bundle Form. The character does not gain any of the powers of the creature taken. This power can be bought more than once for additional forms. When taking the form of another creature the character appears as a unique member of that species, ie the character can not mimic the appearence of someone already existing (all monkeys don't look alike). Mass can not be changed, character appears as a giant or tiny form of creatures signifigantly different in size from thier origional. Character returns to thier original form if unconcious.
Bundle Form
Prerequisite: Single Form, a form that falls within the Bundle to be taken
The ability to shapeshift to any form with in the chosen group, the group must contain a Single Form the character posesses. The character does not gain any of the powers of the creatures. This power can be bought more than once for additional Bundles. Some single forms do not fall into a Bundle category. Mass can not be changed until Absorb/Expel Mass is taken.

Abilites of Form
Prerequisite: Single Form
The ability to use any non-human ability of the creature when it that form. A snakes venom, a bats sonar, eagles eyes, fishs ability to breathe in water.
Abilites of Bundle
Prerequisite: Bundle Form, Abilities of Form
The ability to use any non-human ability of the creature when it that form for an entire Bundle.
Alter Body parts
Prerequisite: Single Form
Ability to change only a part of the body into any known Single Form's equivalent body part. Knowing Single Form: Eagle and changing your eyes only to an eagles eyes.
Alter Features
Prerequisite: Single Form
Ability to modify normal human features. Elongate nose, point or reduce ears, make the cheeks chubbier. Feature changes are not deatiled enough to mimic a particular induvidual. Equivalent to taking Bundle Form: Humanoids.
Absorb/Expel Mass
Prerequisite: Single Form
Ability to absord organic material into the body to increase mass, or leave behind a nasty blob of flesh to reduce mass. Takes about 5 minutes to absord a chair sized object.
Hold Form
Prerequisite: Single Form
Ability to maintain a form even when unconcious.
Edit Features
Prerequisite: Alter Features, 35 pts of Basic Shape Shifting
Ability to exactly copy the features of any specific creature or person in a known Form.
Inanimate Form
Prerequisite: 35 pts of Basic Shape Shifting
Ability to take the form of non-animals, like plants, rocks, chairs. Can not change states of matter or singular substances that can not contain a nervous system like pillers of ash.
Fantastic Forms
Prerequisite: 35 pts of Basic Shape Shifting, at least 3 bundles
Ability to change into forms that do not fall under the listed bundles but are similar to them. Creatures like dragons, dinosaurs, mammoths, sabertooh cats. Does not include merged forms like Centaurs (see Alter Body parts). Forms must resemble bundles that charater already owns. Can olso take the form of Demons.
Powers of Forms
Prerequisite: 35 pts of Basic Shape Shifting.
Ability to take Powers of known forms. A dragons breath, or invisibility.
Shift Wounds
Prerequisite: 35 pts of Basic Shape Shifting.
Ability to shift wounds away, healing them in record time. Total damage does not disappear but is spread out into less deadly forms like bruises and small cuts all over the body.
Shift Persona
Prerequisite: 35 pts of Basic Shape Shifting.
Ability to develop a new identity. When shifted Trumps of the original persona will not function. Psychic contact will not reveal the original persona even exists.
Shift Aura
Prerequisite: Shift Persona
Ability to disguise the Pattern. Psychic contact and Pattern powers will no longer be able to distungish the charater from a creature of Shadow or Chaos.
Creatures of Blood
Prerequisite: 35 pts of Basic Shape Shifting.
Ability to draw blood from yourself or another and form it into any known form of that form. If the charater has Abilites of Forms or Powers of Forms can give the blood creature Abilities and Powers.
Automatic Shapeshift
Prerequisite: 35 pts of Basic Shape Shifting, Shift Persona, Inanimate Forms, at least 3 Bundles.
Ability to let go and change into any known form freely based on the outside environment in order to survive. Once taken works even when unconscious. Very useful in unstable shadows. This can be very dangerous, if done often or in extreme s
ituations the characters persona can be lost in a new form.
