Fort Barrancas : Pensacola
I have been to Ft. Barrancas twice Spring Break 1991 and Feb. 2003. The first trip I was on crutches.

Ft. Barrancas hold the southern end of the land defense of the Pensacola Navy yards. It also provided additional fire for the channel entrance should ships get past Ft. Pickens and Ft. McRee.

Its has an extremly small parade ground but entensive scarp and counterscarp rifle galleries. Below the white structure is a Spainish fort modified into a water battery with a steep tunnel between the two.

There is a virtual geocahce here (GCCBAC) based of the sign about the guns at the visitor center.
